HOURLY RATE OF £11.19
MUST HAVE CLEAN LICENSE
MUST HAVE D1 ON LICENCE WITHOUT THE 101 RESTRICTION and DRIVER QUALIFICATION CARD (BROMLEY)
Duties and Responsibilities:
To carry out daily vehicle checks, replenishing the vehicle with fuel, oil, water and air as required and reporting and defects/accidental damage to the Supervisory staff: were appropriate use correct tachograph disc/digital card, including adjustments to seats according to passenger needs. Assisting clients to and from the vehicle as required/requested
To complete daily log sheets, weekly time sheets, incidental/accident reports and any unexpected occurrences such as clients at risk with illnesses, difficulties etc.
To transport elderly, children with special needs, physically and mentally disabled clients and pupils form their homes (including conveying of disabled clients up/down the stairs using carrying chairs, electric or conventional wheel chairs if required) from/to hospital, clinics, schools etc. Assisting clients to and from the vehicle as required/requested.
To hold a current PVC and other requisite licences including a D1.
Reassure the service user at all times. Assist all clients to their seat and ensure the passenger is secure and comfortable in their seat belt/harness.
To select and reheat the client’s meal and sweet checking the cooking temperature is correct, offer to make the client hot/cold drink within the client’s home. Report any problems or concerns on the relevant documents.
To collect prepared meals from the kitchen, deliver the meals to the school dining centres/clients homes including collection of empty containers.
To sort/collect/deliver/carry letters, welfare aids, small parcels, client’s luggage etc.
To collect money due from the frozen meals-on-wheels, to account for all the money received and pass to administration officer at Birchmere depot at the end of each day.
To participate in all appropriate Council training in all programmes for the disability awareness,safe working procedures, first aid and customer care.
To strictly adhere to Health and Safety at Work and procedures as specified by the Council. Including adhering to the Councils smoking policy within buildings and on Councils vehicles. Wearing of protective footwear and uniform at all times.
To support the Councils Equal Opportunities policy, particularly with reference to disabled.
To provide an efficient passenger transport, meals delivery and courier service.
